DC Fire and EMS is leveraging biometric smartwatches to enhance recruit training and safety, monitoring wellness and readiness in a groundbreaking pilot program.

Dr. Kate Kapalo, Deputy Director of Health & Safety at DC Fire and EMS, is leading efforts to enhance recruit training and safety through biometric technology. As part of this pilot program, biometric smartwatches are being used to monitor wellness and assess readiness for the newest DC recruit class.

By integrating real-time biometric monitoring, this initiative aims to improve training effectiveness, health awareness, and overall firefighter safety. We’re honored to support DC Fire and EMS with technology that empowers first responders and strengthens public safety.
